Shuzhi Xu, PhD

Dr. Shuzhi Xu is a distinguished researcher in mechanical engineering, specializing in topology optimization, evolutionary optimization, multifidelity optimization, and additive manufacturing. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta, Canada, where his research focused on topology optimization considering additive manufacturing constraints.

Currently, Dr. Xu serves as a specially appointed researcher at Osaka University, Japan, and a research consultant at NTT DATA XAM Technologies. His work has been widely recognized in top-tier journals, including Computer Methods in Applied Mechanics and Engineering and Additive Manufacturing.

As an editor of the NIPES Journal of Science and Technology Research, Dr. Xu brings extensive expertise in computational mechanics, high-performance computing, and advanced manufacturing techniques.
