Kess O. Obahiagbon, PhD

Prof. Kess O. Obahiagbon is a distinguished Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Benin, Nigeria. His research interests span across bioresource valorization, heterogeneous catalysis, biofuels, organic acids, and pollution management. In the field of bioresource valorization, Obahiagbon has made significant contributions to the development of sustainable processes for converting biomass and waste materials into value-added products. His work focuses on the efficient utilization of renewable resources, such as agricultural residues and industrial by-products, for the production of biofuels, biochemicals, and other valuable commodities.Obahiagbon's expertise in heterogeneous catalysis involves the design and development of catalytic systems for various chemical processes. His research in this area has explored the use of solid catalysts for reactions involving biomass conversion, fuel production, and environmental remediation.
