Abstract

The efficiency of Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) plants heavily relies on the innovation and enhancement of thermal energy storage (TES) fluids. This communication explores recent advancements in TES fluid development, with an emphasis on quaternary nitrate-based molten salts and their nanoparticle-doped enhancements. The balance between environmental sustainability and economic viability is also discussed, framed by global sustainability efforts.
